Boom!

What a fab day of football! Even in the rain!

Our Reception and Year 1 group had a game of the Blob! This involved players trying their best to shield the ball for a long as possible without losing possession! Small sided games followed with some excellent dribbling and shooting skills on show!

A mixed Year 1&2 team and a Year 3 team took part in 2 development games against JTC Jersey Wanderers at Grainville.

We witnessed some excellent football (attacking and defending) and are so pleased that we are all creating a supportive and "united" team spirit that can only help our players to flourish and improve. Coaches were delighted to hand five Year 1 players their GS United debuts too!

We also had a mixed Year 4&5 team play at JTC Park against various Jersey Wanderers teams. A tough morning in cold and wet conditions but our youngsters showed great resilience!

Our coaches are very proud of all our youngsters who took part this morning. We believe our players are recognising and developing their understanding of the beautiful game week on week. When we look back to when we kicked off in september to where we are now, big strides in development on and off the field have been taken with a lot of progress made.

Thank you to all players and parents on both sides for creating a healthy and positive football environment allowing young children to enjoy the game without any pressure on their little shoulders about the score lines. It really does make a massive difference to their development at this stage of their fledglings football careers.

Well done everyone!

Awesome to be back out on the grass!

What a great morning at GS United today, here are a few snaps and some video footage of your Reception players through to Year 3.

Session template was based around the Risky Business from the FA Youth Module 1. Lots of Goalkeeping, tackling, passing and dribbling involved in todays session that lead to lots of goal scoring opportunities and super finishing!

Well done kids, great work!
