We are pleased to advise that Game Sense United will be taking part in the annual St Clements Minis Minis Festival over the weekend of 5th & 6th May 2018 at St Clements Sports Club.

The following age groups will play on the following days with the event usually kicking off at 10am each morning and is to finish NO later than 5pm. (Last year we did finish around 3pm, but it does depends on how many teams are entering)

At this time we would like to remind all players, parents, spectators and coaches of our GS RESPECT Codes of Conduct. Our codes can be seen by click here

Saturday 5th May - Years 2 & 3 (5 a side) 

Each team in Years 2 and 3 shall consist of a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 9 players. With 5 players on the field of play, teams will play on a rolling substitutes rule.

Sunday 6th May - Year 5 (7 a side) 

Each team in Years 4 and 5 shall consist of a minimum of 9 and a maximum of 11 players. With 7 players on the field of play, teams will play on a rolling substitutes rule

Please ensure that the correct clothing and equipment is provided for the day and prepare for varying weather conditions. This may include:-

  • Football boots and trainers (Please bring both);

  • Shin pads;

  • Fluids (Although the coaches will always provide water bottles, as part of the Health & Safety aspect, we would rather your child bring there own drinks so they do not have to share from the same bottles as other players)

  • Rain jacket;

  • Towel;

  • Sun screen (please apply before you child begins training);

  • Hat / cap

  • Snacks / Lunches

We are looking forward to a wonderful weekend of football and thoroughly enjoy taking part in the annual event. We look forward to your continued support in helping us provide fantastic opportunities to develop our players.

Please arrive no later than 9:20am to meet with your coach at the festival. Matches will kick off at 10am. A fixture program will provided to you nearer the time.

Sunday morning Practice for Reception, Year 1, 2 & 3 will continue as normal at

Grainville School with Coach Ken, Damon, Jack and James.

No practice for School Years 4&5 due to playing in the above event.

Game Sense United are looking for goalkeepers or youngsters currently in School Years 4&5 who also wish to learn this specialised position! 

Our Year 4&5 squads train on Sunday mornings from 11am-12pm also play in Festivals and development fixtures throughout the year so there is plenty of opportunities to play in matches!
