Congratulations to young Layten!

Although Layten sadly is no longer with GS United as he joined his best friends at another club recent weeks, all our coaches at the club are very proud to hear that Layten has been selected to represent the island!

Layten will join the Year 5 Jersey Primary Schools football squad for training in January 2019.

With our club only 4 years old, we are delighted that Layten has followed in the footsteps of Sofia and Emily (JFA Link Asset Services Centre of excellence) in representing Jersey and is the first boy to come through our training program to be selected for the Primary School Jersey Squad.

We have thoroughly enjoyed supporting and watching this cheeky chappie grow into a lovely little footballer, and more importantly a wonderful young person. We believe Layten has a bright future in game and wish him every success for years to come.

Well done!

Game Sense United were delighted to welcome back one of our former players Harlan this morning!

Harlan was one of our first players to join Game Sense on our opening day 4 years ago and he has now taken his first step in coaching by recently attending The FA Junior Football Leaders Award run by the Guernsey Football Association.

Over the coming weeks the four areas Harlan is looking to gain experience and knowledge in are:

  • Assisting in football activity sessions

  • Helping a team on match day

  • Refereeing

  • An involvement in different events

As part of our GS United philosophy where we aim to introduce new coaches to the game, we are of course very proud of Harlan and look forward to supporting him through his Leadership course and other courses in the future.

Keep up the great work young man, watch out Mauricio Pochettino!
