Another fantastic footballing Sunday for the #orangearmy today. This morning we had our Reception , Year 1 and Year 2 players continue with their training sessions at Grainville School.

This was followed by our first ever fixtures against St Brelade FC minis for our youngsters in School Years 3&4. Two great games were played in the right spirit with players, parents and coaches all enjoying the effort, enthusiasm and some great football provided by both teams.

This afternoon saw another spectacle with an end to end football encounter between our Under 11s and the Jersey FA Girls U12s. Both team played some pleasing football with chances galore!

Throughout the day we witnessed some real development in our players with some excellent individual performances add to a great team work ethic.

A huge thanks to St.Brelades FC and Jersey FA girls for the games, thanks to all parents for their continued support and encouragement of players on both teams, and a huge thanks to our coaching team who have delivered another great day of football opportunities to over 100 young players.

The first game of 2019 saw a mix of our our young year 4&5 players host St.Peters FC Year 5s at Grainville School.

On a muddy pitch, the rain held off for most of the morning where 2 games of six aside took place. GS United were delighted to give debuts to three new players in Year 4 during first game. Lots of learning taking place as well as lots to work on in the coming weeks.

A massive thanks to our coaches who this morning ran two coaching sessions for our younger age groups as well as organising the two matches delivering football opportunities for over 50 young players throughout the morning.

A New Year, a new challenge, and a very busy weekend for our U12s team.

Saturday saw GS United take part in the first ever JFA Round Robin event for this age group where our youngster played games that had different challenges to over come and was a great opportunity to blow out those christmas cobwebs! Thanks to Jody Byrne and the JFA staff for organising this event.

Sunday the group were back together, rejuvenated, focused and determined. A great start to the to the New Year saw a well organised team effort whilst defending and a positive attacking mind set when in possession of the ball. This led to some excellent goals being scored by Edgar, Owen, Fin, Jack and Brandon vs Trinity FC.

Well done all involved, onwards and upwards to the next fixture!

Welcome 2019.
