After successfully gaining our FA Charter Standard status, we are delighted to announce that GS United Football Club application to affiliate to the Jersey Football Combination (JFC) has been accepted.

This means that GS United can now enter squads into the JFC development programme from Under 11’s through to Under 15’s (School Year 6+).

In preparation for the new season, players moving into Year 6 will be required to ‘sign on’ or register for GS United FC by completing the relevant application form.

To play football in the JFC, players are also required to register with governing body of football in the Island, the Jersey Football Association. This registration will cost £15.00 for junior footballers.

Affiliation to the Jersey Football Combination is the next step in our development plans to provide our players with the best platform to develop their football knowledge.

In the coming weeks we shall be in contact with players and parents currently in Year 5 to enquire if they would like to represent GS United Football Club for the 2015/16 Season.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Yours in Sport,

Aaron Travers

We are pleased to inform you that GS United Football Club has achieved The FA Charter Standard Club status on 19 January 2015.

Launched in 2001, The FA Charter Standard Programme supported by McDonald’s is The Football Association’s National Accreditation Scheme for grassroots clubs and leagues.

Its goal is to raise standards in grassroots football, support the development of clubs and leagues, recognising and rewarding them for their commitment and achievements.

With this in mind, The FA Charter Standard accreditation is awarded to clubs and leagues rigorously adjudged to be well-run and sustainable – and which prioritise child protection, quality coaching and implementation of the Respect programme.

There are three levels of FA Charter Standard Awards for clubs and we are delighted that GS United Football Club has achieved the entry-level Accreditation FA Charter Standard Club for youth and adult clubs.

The only Youth Development Club in the island, we are delighted that all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes at GS United FC has not gone unnoticed and we thank all of our coaches, students and parents for their commitment at support! This couldn’t have happened without you!

We look forward to receiving our Charter Standard Award from the Jersey Football Association in due course.

Game Sense Soccer Coaching is delighted to announce the formation of GS United Football Club.

Our link with GS United Football Club (an affiliated club with the Jersey Football Association) will now enable our students from School Year 2 the opportunity to play in a games programme against other clubs.

From the start of 2015, we shall be contacting other local clubs to arrange development matches that will aid the progression of our students.

Our aim is to provide development games against local clubs every term and help our students experience match days in a positive learning environment. These development matches will be played on Sunday mornings.

All Game Sense Soccer Coaching students from School Year 2 will be offered the opportunity to sign a membership form to represent and play for GS United Football Club.

We wish you all a prosperous New Year and a healthy and happy 2015! Exciting times ahead!
