Our Coaches

 

GS United Football Club appoint staff who are wanting to progress and continually self-improve as coaches. We will always encourage our coaches to take the relevant steps towards gaining their next coaching qualification. 

 

This can only benefit the players development for the future, as not only will they be learning from coaches who are extremely positive and enthusiastic, but coaches who also want to develop there own coaching skills, and provide the our players with evolving and up-to-date coaching techniques and knowledge.

Head Coach
Aaron Travers

Aaron is recognised as an enthusiastic and successful junior football coach in Jersey. Aaron has coached a range of youth ages at two of the top clubs in the island in St.Pauls FC and Grouville FC, and the Senior Jersey Ladies Representative Squad. Aaron started his coaching pathway at the age of 17 years old and is committed to improving the level of football participation and quality in Jersey. 

 

During his coaching experience Aaron has coached High School Teams in the United States, and also at Oakleigh Cannons and Hampton Park Football Clubs in Melbourne, Australia. Aaron was recruited to help develop a local Soccer School and through this success was asked to relaunch the Grouville Minis Section in 2006 in the role of Academy Manager. Aaron was appointed Youth Development Officer at Grouville Football Club from 2011 to 2013 before leaving the club to raise his young family. 

 

In 2010 Aaron was approached by the Jersey Football Association Capita Centre of Excellence Director to become a member of their coaching staff, a position he still holds today. 

 

Aaron was one of only five coaches in the Channel Islands to successfully complete and pass the FA Youth Award Licence in 2013

Ken began he coaching pathway in 2009 at Grouville Football Club and has been bitten by the coaching bug ever since! 

 

Ken is so enthusiastic about the development of young players that his drive and determination to provide the best learning environment and the variety of opportunities to play the game was recognised when he was voted in as Grouville FC Junior Chairman in 2011.

James Withers

James started coaching with the Jersey Football Association Community program for 5-11 year olds in 2017. 

James sought more experience and knowledge and wanted to learn more in a club environment not only supporting player development but to gain the opportunity to deliver coaching sessions with different coaches with vast experience who deliver in a variety coaching styles.

Game Sense United were delighted to offer James an opportunity to develop his coaching experience at our our youth development club.

Marco Da Silva

Marco started is coaching journey in October 2018 with Game Sense United. Marco also supports teachers at a local primary school by coaching coaching school years 4&5s

Damon joined the GS United Coaching Team in September 2015 after completing his Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football during the summer. 

 

Eager to learn more about the coaching trade and continue his coaching pathway, Damon's ideals fit in with our GS United philosophies perfectly.

Jack Guille

Jack started his coaching pathway through supporting the Jersey FA Community Coaching programme for 5-11 year olds.

Wanting to gain additional knowledge in coaching Jack joined Game Sense United in 2017. Jacks aim is to help understand how to adapt his practice sessions to fit the needs of the individuals and gain some match day management experience supporting our young players be the best they can be.

Jack recognising that building good coaching relationships with players and parents so they feel comfortable to approach you with anything which shows you have created a trusting fun learning environment.

Jamie Le Fondre

 

Jamie has several years coaching experience. Prior to joining Game Sense United Jamie coached the at Rozel Rovers FC and the Jersey Football Association Community program for 5-11 year olds.

Tiff Sundby

Tiff joined Game Sense United as our Lead Coach for our new all girls minis section for the 2019/20 season. Tiff's coaching experience includes coaching the Jersey FA Player Development Centre U12s, supporting the SSE Wildcats Centre as part of the Jersey FA Community Program and coaching the Rozel Rovers girls U14's girls team

Talia Morris

Talia joined our Game Sense Girls development program from its inception. Currently coaching within the JFA Wildcats and Community Program, Talia also plays for the Under 16s JFA Player Development Centre and Rozel Rovers.

Due to Talia's age she is currently unable to enrol for the Level 1 Certificate in coaching however plans to complete learning during the 2020/21 season. During the coming seasons ahead Talia will be supported by our experienced coaches on her coaching journey.​

Leah Morris

Leah joined our Game Sense Girls development program from its inception. Currently coaching within the JFA Wildcats and Community Program, Leah also plays for the Under 16s JFA Player Development Centre and Rozel Rovers.
