Four seasons in one day...
Bish! Bash! bosh!
It was sunny! It turned windy! Down came the rain! Followed by the Hail! and repeat!
Whatever the weather, this mornings football activities provided for approximately 80 young smiling players with another opportunity to get some match day experience. Including of course our youngsters in Reception and Year 1 having their normal morning practice indoors.
GS United hosted St.Pauls FC minis at Grainville. Years 2s kicked off the first game at 9:30am swiftly followed by our Years 3s, Years 4s and a mixed Year 4&5 team.
Highlights of the morning included a 'Worldie' free kick from Kai nestle in the postage stamp! An incredible Save from Ben in the Year 4 game tipping a great effort around the post and we were also delighted to see several new faces making their make he GS United debuts!
A huge thank you to our GS United coaches who had a very busy morning indoors and out whilst adapting to last minute changes due to unforeseen circumstances. Our coaching teams professionalism and support of our young players learning the game in a positive fun environment is second to none.
Thanks again to all parents supporting both teams for braving the weather and encouraging good play on both sides. Also thank you to St.Pauls FC coaches for providing the opposition that provided competitive games throughout the morning.
And of course a Ma-HOO-Sive thank you to all players for their efforts. Some were lucky with the sunshine, some were not! However the effort, determination and desire to get better is shining through from many players! Keep up the good work!
Next up, we welcome JTC Jersey Wanderers on Sunday 31st March (Mothers Day). An email has been sent to you already for confirmation of availabilty.
Have a great week everyone!
