We are pleased to advise that Game Sense United will be taking part in the annual St Clements Minis Minis Festival over the weekend of 11th & 12th May 2019 at St Clements Sports Club.
We are delighted to advise that we shall be entering a team into each age group this year too.The format is slightly different to previous years where each year will be split into two groups of six to play matches against each other, before splitting into 3 groups of four, each Year Group will play about 6 or 7 games.
The following age groups will play on the following days with the event usually kicking off around 10am each morning and is to finish NO later than 5pm. (Last year we did finish around 3pm, but it does depends on how many teams are entering)
At this time we would like to remind all players, parents, spectators and coaches of our GS RESPECT Codes of Conduct. Our codes can be seen by click here
Saturday 11th May - Years 2 & 3 (5 a side)
Year 2 Squad - Coach James
Year 3 Squad - Coach Jamie
Sunday 12th May - Year 5 (7 a side)
Year 4 Squad - Coach Marco
Year 5 Squad - Coaches Damon
With regards to Year 5, the rules of the festival state that a limited number of players are to be included in each team. Game Sense United has been in discussions with our friends at St.Pauls FC regarding this as we do not have enough players in Year 5 to fill a full squad, whilst St.Pauls have excess players that would miss out on this playing opportunity.
We have agreed it would be in the best interests of all players for our clubs to work together, join forces and combine to make a team ensuring as many players can participate as possible!
Please ensure that the correct clothing and equipment is provided for the day and prepare for varying weather conditions. This may include:-
Football boots and trainers (Please bring both);
Fluids (Although the coaches will always provide water bottles, as part of the Health & Safety aspect, we would rather your child bring there own drinks so they do not have to share from the same bottles as other players)
Sun screen (please apply before you child begins training);
Hat / cap
Snacks / Lunches
We are looking forward to a wonderful weekend of football and thoroughly enjoy taking part in the annual event. We look forward to your continued support in helping us provide fantastic opportunities to develop our players.
Please arrive no later than 9:20am to meet with your coach at the festival in our Game Sense United Gazebo!. Matches will kick off at 10am. A fixture program will provided to you nearer the time.
