Breaking News! Announcing Game Sense Girls

Game Sense United are delighted to announce the arrival of Game Sense Girls to our player development program!

Club Chairman Aaron Travers stated,

"A girls program has always been in our thoughts since Game Sense United formed four years ago. Recently we have achieved a higher level of Charter Standard status through our clubs growth and provision of football opportunities within the community. This coming season we feel we are in a position to support girls in a safe and fun environment and sessions will be delivered by an all female coaching team"

The GS Girls coaching sessions will initially be for players in School Years 2,3&4. Practice sessions will be during term time only on Thursday evenings from 5-6pm at Oakfield Sports Centre opposite Hautlieu School. The sessions will be lead by Coach Tiff Sundby starting on 5th September 2019.

Currently studying her Level 2 coaching badge, Tiff's coaching experience includes coaching the Jersey FA Player Development Centre U12s, supporting the SSE Wildcats Centre as part of the Jersey FA Community Program and coaching the Rozel Rovers girls U14's girls team. Tiff will be supported by trainee coaches Brody, Talia and Leah Morris who will be registering to complete their Level 1 Coaching Certificate next season.

Aaron continued,

"Our current GS development program has already seen three female players represent the Jersey Primary School team and the Jersey FA Player Development Centre, however we feel that an all female coaching team is an important ingredient to increase female participationand provide football opportunities to young girls.

We are excited to welcome Tiff, Brody, Talia and Leah to Game Sense United. We hope to inspire the next generation of players to enjoy their football and we throughly believe our new female coaching team can do just that.

Part of our Club Philosophy is to also provide the opportunity for new coaches to take their first steps on the coaching pathway and support them throughout their coaching journey. This is another great example of how we are doing exactly that.

Tiff has proven to be a great role model for girls football not only as a young coach but also a current Jersey Ladies player who will shortly be travelling to Ynys Mons for an Inter Games Tournament and we wish her and the rest of the island squad the best of luck and hope they bring back the trophy to our shores.

Leah, Talia and Brody all currently coach within the JFA Wildcats & Community Program as well as playing for the Under 16s JFA Player Development Centre and Rozel Rovers.

We have acquired four enthusiastic young women who are passionate about the sport and are looking forward to developing our Game Sense Girls Program during the coming seasons"
